Q. Is acupuncture effective for skin disorders?

A.

Yes, acupuncture regulates skin immune response and improves blood circulation, effectively reducing inflammation in atopic dermatitis, acne, psoriasis and various skin conditions.

📝 Detailed Answer

What acupuncture addresses in skin conditions is the background rather than the skin itself.

A state of not being able to sleep because of itching, a pattern where symptoms worsen with tension, and decline in digestion and stamina are the targets. When such factors are put in order, there are cases where the ups and downs of the skin condition reduce.

We mainly use distal points on the hands and feet, the back and the abdomen. We do not perform it directly on the lesion area.

To state the expectation precisely: acupuncture does not directly settle skin inflammation. In an acute period with severe inflammation, a topical preparation is needed.
