BPH medications (alpha-blockers like Flomax, Proscar; 5-alpha reductase inhibitors like finasteride) can be safely combined with Korean medicine: ① no significant interactions known, ② Korean medicine reduces alpha-blocker side effects (dizziness, fatigue), ③ combined therapy improves urinary symptoms more, ④ may reduce Western medication dose over time. Take with 1–2 hour gap when possible. Inform both doctors about all medications. Monitor blood pressure if on alpha-blockers.
