Q. Is it effective for joints other than knees?
Yes — Gwanjeoldan treats the cause (wind, cold, dampness) rather than a specific joint, so it is effective for shoulders, wrists, hips, ankles, and all joints.
📝 Detailed Answer
Where other joints are uncomfortable — the shoulder, wrist, hip, ankle and so on — we also prescribe according to the situation.
However, the cause differs by site. Degenerative change in the knee, a rotator cuff problem in the shoulder, and nerve compression in the wrist are each different problems, so we do not approach them all with the same medicine. We adjust the prescription after examination.
And there are cases not resolved by herbal medicine alone. A rotator cuff tear, a meniscal tear, severe nerve compression and the like need imaging and an orthopaedic assessment alongside. If you tell us at the consultation, we will arrange it.
The following are particularly so: where the joint swells and is hot, where several joints swell at once and are stiff for over an hour in the morning, or where weakness or dulled sensation arises.
