Allergic Rhinitis

Q. Will my nose unblock immediately with rhinitis herbs?

A.

Unlike Western drugs that give immediate relief, herbs aim at fundamental treatment by normalizing nasal mucosal immunity. Changes felt from 1–2 weeks; 2–3 months greatly reduces recurrence.

📝 Detailed Answer

It does not clear immediately. It is better to know this part in advance.

What opens up nasal blockage at once is a decongestant spray. Herbal medicine does not act in that way.

What herbal medicine aims at is the state in which the mucosa responds hypersensitively, itself. So change appears gradually, and we generally view it in units of weeks. Partial change comes first — in the form of fewer morning sneezes, thinner discharge, or the nose being less blocked at night.

For reference, decongestant sprays are known for a rebound phenomenon in which long use actually worsens the blockage. If you are using one daily, please tell us.
