Summary
Effects of combined oral and topical herbal medicine therapy in skin barrier damage-related diseases were meta-analyzed. Analysis of 16 studies showed significant TEWL reduction, skin hydration increase, and stratum corneum lipid composition improvement in the combination therapy group. Skin barrier recovery effects were particularly pronounced in prescriptions containing Angelica and Rehmannia.

Conclusion
