Randomized Controlled Trial of Herbal Medicine for Dyshidrotic Eczema: Focus on Damp-Resolving Prescriptions

Summary

Seventy-two patients with dyshidrotic eczema of hands and feet were randomly assigned to compare damp-resolving herbal medicine (modified Pyeongwi-san) versus topical steroids for 8 weeks. The herbal medicine group showed significantly reduced blister occurrence frequency and pruritus, with significantly lower recurrence rates at 8 weeks after treatment completion than the steroid group.
