Summary
Ninety-six frozen shoulder patients complaining of nocturnal pain were assigned to acupuncture or sham acupuncture control groups and treated for 6 weeks. The acupuncture group showed nocturnal pain VAS reduction from 7.4 to 2.8, significantly more improved than the control group (7.2 to 5.1), with also improved sleep quality.
