Summary

Eight RCTs (total 612 patients) evaluating herbal medicine treatment for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) were meta-analyzed. The herbal medicine combination group showed 2.8% annual FVC decline rate attenuation, with significantly improved SGRQ (respiratory quality of life) scores.
