Summary
Sixty-seven patients with tonsillitis recurring 4 or more times annually received modified Soshiho-tang for 12 weeks and were followed for 1 year. Average annual recurrence frequency decreased from 4.8 to 1.6 episodes after treatment, with tonsillar hypertrophy grade improving by an average of 0.8 stages.
