Summary
Eighteen randomized controlled trials involving 1,245 patients with ankle sprains were analyzed. The acupuncture group showed significant differences in pain reduction (VAS) compared to controls and demonstrated faster functional recovery. The incidence of adverse events was significantly lower in the acupuncture group.
