Cost & Insurance

Once a bodily-injury claim is filed, accident-related treatment costs are in principle covered by auto insurance. Depending on the fault ratio, however, some out-of-pocket cost can arise, and the covered scope and period are defined, so we cannot promise there will be none at all. Please keep receipts for treatment received before the claim is filed.

Q. They are telling me to settle — when should I do it?

A.

After settlement it is not handled through auto insurance. It is better not to hurry.

📝 Detailed Answer

The settlement sum is regarded as including future treatment costs. Once the settlement is complete, auto insurance will not cover the same accident.

Even if the insurer presses you to settle quickly, it is better to look at your physical state and then decide. Neck and lower back symptoms in particular sometimes appear late.

Even after settlement, if treatment is needed you can be seen under national health insurance. However, there will be a co-payment.

We cannot set the settlement amount or timing for you. We can give you our findings on your physical state.
