Acupuncture & Pharmacopuncture
Acupuncture
Yes. We use fine needles made for children to ease muscle tension and pain after an accident. Children respond well to acupuncture because they recover quickly, and treatment is covered by auto insurance with no out-of-pocket cost.
Cupping & Physical Therapy
Cupping Therapy
Yes. Cupping for children is performed safely with smaller cups and reduced pressure. It helps release muscle tension and blood stasis after an accident.
Herbal Medicine
Herbal Medicine
A paediatric prescription is not an adult one at a reduced dose — the composition of the ingredients itself is different. That does not mean there are no side effects; rash, diarrhoea or vomiting can occur rarely. If there is fever or the child becomes listless, paediatric care comes before herbal medicine.
Chuna Therapy
Chuna Therapy
It is performed in a completely different way from adults, without any sudden thrusting manipulation. That said, we cannot promise it will be entirely painless, and we stop if the child is uncomfortable. We perform it only after imaging has ruled out a fracture.
Cost & Insurance
Cost & Insurance
Children are covered by auto insurance bodily-injury liability as well. Depending on the fault ratio, however, some cost can arise, and the covered scope is defined, so we cannot promise there will be none at all. Filing requires the insurer and the claim number, and we will guide you through the procedure.
Other Treatments
General
Children cannot put pain into words, so it shows as fussiness, changed sleep, less activity, or avoiding a particular posture. That does not mean a child without symptoms must be treated — if it is not needed, we will say let us watch and wait. A blow to the head, vomiting or listlessness needs emergency care immediately.
